Our Fill-a-Truck Program

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, the parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Church decided to help out the “least, the last, and the left out” by bringing clothing to our truck that we parked in the parish parking lot. The Saint Vincent de Paul Society, with the help of some of the strong young men from the youth group, unloaded vehicles coming into the parking lot and then loaded the donations onto our truck. They toiled from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

We picked up the truck around 3:00 P.M. and brought it back to 242 Canterbury Street and on Monday morning, our warehouse team began the arduous task of unloading the donations, sorting them so they could be priced and put into the LittleStore. It always amazes me how many pieces of clothing that are donated still have the original store tags on them, having never been worn. We price the item well below the store price so our customers can enjoy a new whatever that they could not otherwise afford.

Thank you to all of the families who took time out of their very busy schedules to participate in our Fill-a-Truck drive at Blessed Sacrament Parish.
