Once again we have been asked to participate in the search for two or three candidates for the China Summer Intern Program. This is one of those really fun projects that requires a great deal of time in a really short period. So we are giving you a chance to participate. *Must be responsible, cheerful, sociable, enthusiastic

*Be willing to stay for the whole summer program
*Working Hours: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm; 5-days of work weekly
*Must occasionally work outside of the conventional working hours e.g. camping trip with older kids
*Teach a variety of classes e.g. English, sports, dancing, art, cooking, nature, choir, etc. based on your skills & interests
*You are either the lead teacher or the assistant
*Carry out indoor/outdoor activities with the local teachers e.g. swimming, field trips, camping trips, etc.
*Ensure the children’s safety
*Monitor the behavior of the children
*Basic course outline/materials are provided but you have to prepare a lesson plan on your own and prepare either a powerpoint or worksheets before class.
Duration of Internship
This internship begins on July 10, 2020 and ends on August 21, 2020
(Notes: 1/ Interns will arrive at Children’s Centre on July 9, 2020
2/ Orientation period starts from July 10 to July 12, 2020
3/ Opening Ceremony of summer program: July 13, 2020)
Place of Internship
Children Centre at 1 Jianxiang Street, Hanxishui, Chashan Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, China
8:00 am to 5:30 pm, from Mondays to Fridays
Lunch break: 1.5 hours
The Intern must occasionally work outside of the conventional working hours
RMB 1,200 in cash weekly (= about USD 177 per week)
(Note: any day off during working days will be counted as no pay leave)
A round-trip flight ticket
Travel insurance coverage (in China)
Reimbursement of China Visa expense (for the first application in the Intern’s home country only)
Meals & camp; Accommodation
Scope of Work for Interns:
1. Teach a variety of classes e.g. English, Sports, Dancing, Art, Cooking, Singing etc based on the Intern’s skills & interests.
2. Carry out indoor / outdoor activities with the local teachers e.g. swimming, field trips, camping etc.
3. Prepare for teaching and assisting all children with learning. Basic course outline are provided by the Children’s Centre but the Interns have to prepare a lesson plan beforehand.
4. The Intern plays a role as a lead teacher or teaching assistant.
5. Maintain classroom discipline during class
6. Monitor the behavior of the children during class
7. Take care of the children during activities and prevent accidents and conflicts from occurring
8. Provide immediate assistance to the children when there is any accident or health problem
Assignment 1 (Before arrival)
Each intern prepares Two “fairy tales for kids” individually
The Intern is recommended to find 2 stories from “Aesop’s Fables” / “Grimm’s Fairy Tales,” but any other source is acceptable
Put the main points and pictures on a powerpoint (10 slides) /story
The Intern will present the stories to our kids
Please save the powerpoint files into a USB device and bring it to China
Assignment 2 (During internship)
The Intern shares their life in China, including their experience, feelings, pictures, preparation for the trip, important notes etc
To be presented on a powerpoint file (10 slides)
Submit the powerpoint file to the supervisor of the Children Centre 1 week prior to departure

The Intern is obliged to follow any instructions and regulations given by the contact person in the Company or by the Company management during the internship.
